Bad News!

I just came from the Air Force office and my recruiter told me that because the job they have found for me had to do with nuclear weapons and because I REFUSE to work with nuclear weapons, that I didn't get the job. The only way I could have the job is if I choose to work around nuclear weapons.

For some reason that means that I cannot go to basic training on the 13th. What I don't understand is Why can't I do basic training when I'm the proper weight and get a job later? Why must I have a job first, then go to basic?

If any of you military wives know why, that would help. Or they could send me to basic and allow me to work at a fast food restaurant until a job opens up.

hey feie, sorry for your disappointment.and again a shout out to all our men and women protecting this country.try to think that everything happens for a reason, i am assuming u r quite young and fit still, you have tons of time to see how your life falls into line.youth is indeed wasted on the young.peace.

And YES smarsillo02, I know "this is a soap message board"
But people still write things like "I'm sorry but I'm leaving here."
and other people post things like "MissChef do you have any idea about ....."
or "Where is Feie when you need her?"
Sometimes, people here do leave you a post with your name on it.

And a LOT of times people be asking about other people who post regularly but have been gone for a very long time. I'm just trying to explain Why I'll be gone for a long time IN CASE I leave, letting people know that I didn't quit the boards.

Furthermore, it's not like I post about my personal life on a regular basis. I just made an exception because again, sometimes people make posts with your name on it. And if the opportunity came and I was gone for 3 months, then I wouldn't want anybody to think that I was being rude or take things too personally.

Well sorry about the job, but I think you really should of took it, Do you have any idea how much $$$ you could of made if you were to sell those nukes to Iran or North Korea??

Seriously though, why are you leaving this board because you didn't not get the job? Am I missing something here??

Yeah. But we are in a war. and I value my life more than I value money.

And I am NOT leaving the boards. Only for basic training.
