I hate to break this to you, but Erica and Ryan will spark up a relationship. Yes, it's official...instead of "JERICA," (Jack & Erica) we'll get RYERICA. Cougar Kane has clenched her claws on the young cub. Disgusting!

Same thing with Stuart's murder; with this big move to L.A., there's been a lot of re-writes. The killer may change just as the JERICA reunion was tossed in the shredder. For those who are NOT moving to L.A., writers are going to recast. Say goodbye to this show, because ratings are going to fly down the toilet.

Walt Willey's (Jack) contract is still in limbo, so I don't know what they plan to do with his character. There may still be hope, but the move to L.A. makes it doubtful.

If the writers recast the old favorites, then this show is done. I originally thought they would just write the show with the remaining characters who made the move, and bring back some old favorites, like the original Greenlee, but your news indicates it will be a new show!
Are the old viewers like all of us posters going to accept a newly cast Zach, Kendall, or JR? Of course not! So some of the old-timers like us will stop watching. And moving to LA is not exactly going to bring in new viewers.
I said it before...and I am going on record as saying it again. Guiding Light was just canceled with Nielsen ratings of 2.1 million viewers. AMC is at 1.9 million viewers. If the numbers fall, and they will, this show will wrap up sometime in 2011.

I know I am going to start World War 3 here, but I LIKE Erica and Ryan together! Yes, I am aware of the age difference (23 years in reality...he is 40 and she is 63). Yes, I am aware of the bloodlines and familial relations regarding Spike, Ryan, Kendall, and Erica. But the scenes together with Erica and Ryan are cute...what other couple is happy at this point? And Ryan actually speaks his lines without being raspy and gritting his teeth when he is with Erica! I know "disgusting" is a word thrown around, and I get why some would say this...but there is so much disgust on this show that I like the levity this couple brings to the show.

Let me clarify one thing that is VERY important: I cannot stand the character of Ryan Lavery. I have written many times that if there is one character that needs to go, it is him. His self-righteous, condescending attitude is a royal pain to watch. I HATE the way he speaks through those gritted teeth. But I like Erica Kane, and that I make no apologies for. So if Ryan's character becomes more pleasant to watch by his pairing with Erica, so be it. At least both characters smile when they are together, and I cannot think of ANYONE on this soap in a good place right now. In an ideal world, I like Erica with Jack. But it is clear that Jack is off the show, and there are not too many 60-year-old men for Erica to hook up with, so her next conquest almost HAS to be younger.
I am curious what other posters think and who they would like to see Erica with...

I loathe Erica and any female character who isn't trying to kill him with Ryan! The age difference, especially when you factor in that she is only 14 years older than Kendall and that Ryan is about 5 years older than Kendall is not a big deal. She's done the "cougar" thing before with Charlie Brent (over a decade ago). My issue is Ryan, I can't stand him or the fact that all the women love him for NO APPARENT REASON. He needs to be turned into a eunich as his brain is no longer functioning after being stuck in jockey shorts for so long! Erica needs to be paired with Jackson or another mature man who will call her on her crap, not be judgemental and have his own personality that is not dependent on others thinking that his farts are perfum!

Although I know it happens, pairing 40 yr old Ryan with 60yr old Erica make pretty Erica Kane look so much older than her yrs. Same with Adam and Annie. As the saying goes, "wealthier the old person, the younger the lover/spouse". Wow! A Giggalo and a Golddigger! maybe Ryan and Annie should hook back up, they deserve each other!

The "cougar" thing is not so bad. I mean, it happens everyday, but what I hate is Erica Kane who wanted to claw Carmen's eyes out for stealing Jack, claiming that friends don't date friends' boyfriends, etc. Yet, here she is clenching her claws in her daughters baby daddy! WTH??? Your lover is your grandchild's dad!! She's the last person to talk about "the girl code."

Remember its "The World According To Ms. Kane" she can "buy" anything or anyone.
