What will happen if main charactors leave?

Those of us who have watched for so many years are vested in the main Pine Valley folks. I don't know who is leaving and who isn't, but I am wondering if they will replace the key people or write them out. If they are written out, it will be a totally different show. If they replace them, it will take us all a while to adjust. Just look at how long it took some of us to adjust when they replaced the "real" Greenlee. Of course that turned out ok because the new one was so great but how will we do with several new faces in the roles we all love? I can't imagine a new Tad, Kendall, Zack, Erica, Adam, Amanda and Jake, or really anyone. I hope the changes aren't terribly dramatic. I really like my soap. |

I hope they never replace Tad Martin with someone else. Michael Knight is the best and can't be replaced |

If the main characters leave, AMC would quickly go down the tubes. We would almost have to have a memorial service for it. |

I have loved Michael since he took over the role of Tad - even back in the days of "Tad the Cad"! Ihave watched AMC since the very beginning, and my favorite was always Erica until Michael came on the show (though I still love Erica). I also love Jacob Young as JR and I would not want to see anyone else in these roles (like anyone but Susan could play Erica!) |

I heard Thorston Kaye is leaving because he wants to stay in NYC. I think they could bring on someone like Drake Hogestyn from Days as a new leading man since the show will be in LA now. This would bring some fans from Days to the show too and help boost it's ratings. |

Since Thorston Kaye is my favorite, I will be really sad to see him go but totally understand his personal reasons for remaining in New York. It will be interesting how the story line for main characters will be handled. Will there just suddenly be a new face to the role or a massive plane crash to wipe them out? Susan Lucci "is Erica" so she will need to move, commute or be killed off. Same with Adam and Tad. It all sounds like a last ditch effort by ABC. Good Luck Folks! |

I would understand if he remained in New York, but I would probably stop watching AMC. I am always most interested in his character. Too bad that the decision was made to go to CA. There is no show without the characters and actors that play them. If the show goes and the actors stay behind AMC is done. |

I agree, Tad is the best!!! They can't replace original characters...If they lose more than a few actors in this move the show will lose alot of us..the faithful viewers..Ihate that they replace actors...They need Marcy Walker back too... You can replace an actor that has only been there a year or so but not original characters... The whole mess with Greenlee was so bad I didn't watch until the reall Greeenlee appeared...I dont watch the Liza storyline either....They need to get back some old familiar faces back for us whohave watched for years...Tooo many new characters and it won;t be the same family soap!!! |
