Can any of you who are still posting who believe in prayer say a little prayer for me that I would get some sleep...enough sleep...tonight? My health problems (not serious, don't worry) and insomenia are preventing me from sleeping and the same thing happened last night. My computer has been off all night and so this is the first time tonight that I've turned it on.

If any of you have any suggestions for falling asleep, I would appreciate those too.

Look in the pharmacy for some natural herbs... there are some called Sleep and Relax. My mother does the same thing. dont drink caffeine late at night or do any exercises. I can't sleep if there is even the slightest noise yet my daughter can't sleep without the radio being on. Read a book. That makes my husband sleepy. Otherwise, a trip to the dr will help. they will give you a script for something that will help you sleep.

Hi, sorry to read about your problem, I have been there. I read a lot about insomnia on the Net and a lot of it is due to not being able to clear your mind.

These articles all came to the same conclusions,
Nutrition- eat 5-6 small meals a day
Movement- burn calories as much as possible
No afternoon naps, take a warm soothing bath with lavender or eucalyptus, drink Milk with a tsp honey,go for an evening walk (works excellently by headaches, And if you absolutely can't sleep, get up out of bed and get into an activity.

Oh, and sleep with your bedroom window a bit opened, maybe you aren't getting enough fresh air and the breathing center of the brain is signaling you to do something about it, this has also worked for me.

My doctor also told me, that I should rearrange my bedroom. HUH? Well, science isn't everything it's cracked up to be.

I eat very small meals during the day and bathing has always worked wonders for me. I don't drink milk, so I can't tell you how that works, unfortunately and I am too lazy after 8 Hours of running about after patients the whole day,- I tell my self I get enough exercise at work- have however tried this when I had headaches and it is a really good tip.

BUT.... I got out of bed and started painting, I would get really tired about one hour before having to get ready for the shift and could have bit myself in the butt for even thinking I could do this. It did work! I slept like a baby the night after. This took a couple of weeks of getting through, but now I sleep really well, maybe a bit too well and now wake up with a racing heart because I shut the alarm off...again.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers tonight, certainly. Also, have you tried Sleepytime Extra tea? It tastes SOOOOOOOO good and really does help you relax and drift off to slumberland. It helps relax the muscles in your body. I drink regular Sleepytime tea when I have one of my backaches from carrying around heavy children all day.Maybe you should try it. It tastes wonderful, if nothing else.

Thank you so much for the prayers and for all of the sugguestions I have received on here concerning my inability to sleep. I love erbal tea! Sleepytiem tea is not one of the ones I liek, actually, becaue I don't like mint-flavored tea and it seems to hava a mint type of flavor to it. But I've found some non-caffeinated tea that seems to help (my faorite is apple-cinnamine and mh second-favorite is country peach).

Also, reading before bedtime was suggested and that helped me late last night when I couodn't sleep and in the recent pat as well. I reall like the real meaningful short-story books like all the different kinds of Chicken Soup of the Soul books since there are so many kinds out there now and books similar to it (Chocolate for a Woman's Heart, Chocolate for a Woman's Courage, Cup of Comfort for a Woman's Inspirations....stuff like that). Not noly do O emkpu them, I learn from the triue stories and life lessons as well. Amd O feel that if I put my mind to work in this way, it may tire me our enough to be able to to go sleep.

Right now, since I love county musice and find it so comforting and soothng (and fun), I'm going to put in an EmmuLue Harris CD and maybe her music may soothe me to sleep. I sure hope so.

Again, a value and appreciate all of the suggestion and offers of prayers that I have received on herer and will put them to good use.

Thank you for the friendships that I am starting to form on here. I know I don't know amu of you that well but it's nice to know that I can come herer and be among mice, friendly people like you and that we have something we have something in common when discussimg a soap we are involved in following up on...All My Children and the charecters we want to wee stay on the show because we like to see what they are up to.
