I think it would be awesome if Adam did kill Stuart. Annie/Emma knows that Adam did it. Annie and Aidan are in on it together. They found Adam and moved him into the attic to "protect him" which would gain his trust. Then once Annie was sent to prison. She had Aidan stab her so she would got to the hospital and Adam would return the favor and "protect her". And getting the sentence that they did for Annie to be on house arrest just worked in there favor. Annie is going to try to have Adam fall in love with her. So he will marry her. So she can have the house signed over to her. Once they are married legally, she is going to confess that she saw Adam kill his brother. Aidan is working with Ryan because he is going to make Ryan do illegal things so he will look like a bad person and will lose custody of Emma. Aidan is only trying to pin the murder on Annie because he knows she made that phone call to Ryan where you hear the gun shot and she could not have shot Stuart if she was on the phone. However, accusing Annie the way he does makes him seem more trusting to Ryan.
I really do believe Annie/Aidan cooked up this scheme.
