I do not watch AMC very often but did kind of start to tune in when Stuart died. Can someone please tell me what is going on with the Amanda, Jake and Liza storyline, I am confused to as why Jake is helping Liza????

Originally, Jake hired Liza to find a home for Amanda's baby because Amanda didn't want David Hayward to steal the baby as he told her he would do. Well, Liza came up with the dummy scheme to fake her pregnancy so that she can pass Amanda's baby off as her own. Jake would not agree to this at first, but somehow she blackmailed him into going along with it. This storyline is extremely stupid if you ask me. Today, Liza "gives birth," but we see no umbilical cord, no fluids on the baby, no excess skin dangling from the belly button where a cord would have been removed, etc. Paramedics arrived and took Tad to the hospital for a fake heart attack, but left Liza. I mean, this is way too stupid for me. LOL

WOW, Thank you at first I was a little interested in the story but now that you have told me what it is really about it seems really stupid to me too. I was hoping that maybe Jake was wanting Liza to pass the baby off as her own so that he knew that he was in a safe place or so that if Amanda wanted the baby back then she could get him back easily I thought maybe it was something loving on his part towards Amanda but I guess not. So I wonder what Liza has on Jake that she could blackmail him into something so big???
Oh, and this Liza sucks I used to watch when the old one was on everyday as I was younger and had more time but she just does not seem like the same character at all.
