Personally, I would HATE to see Marissa with JR. Marissa looks like she's 19. And how old is Jacob Young? In his 40's? I HATED it when Jamie was when that old woman. And JR and Marissa. That's just rocking the cradle.
I think Marissa should be with somebody around her own age, like JR's cousin.
When it comes to the baby, why not give David visitation rights? Look what happened when Adam promises to give David visitation rights? David became like a tamed animal, until Adam started brainwashing Little A against him. Even JR said,"I can't blame David. You promised him rights just to turn Little A against him." Other than that, David was beginning to be a better person. He totally cooled off.
I would say that Jake and Amanda are equally to blame for their problems. They won't to give the baby away instead of giving David visitation rights.
It's like what Marissa told JR. If you just gave David visitation rights, maybe he wouldn't be so extreme. Again, David did come down a lot when Adam gave him visitation rights. Until Adam started poisoning L.A.'s mind against David.
But if they continue with this over-dramatic route, then I agree with Tad totally and completely. That this kid is going to wind up messed up in the long run. and NO PARENT should have to believe that their child is dead, esp. after losing Babe, Leora, and Krystal's unborn child. This kid is going to be a teenager one day, maybe in 3 years. And she'll be thinking,"You gave me away and pretended I was DEAD!?"

Kid: Then be like normal, regular people and go to court!
Amanda: It's not as simple as that
Kid: What's so hard about it?
This kid will probably need to see a psychiatrist after figuring out something like that. Mom pretended I was dead and gave me away. When this kid figures this out, it will probably lead the kid straight into David's arms. This kid will probably wind up HATING his mom. And becoming as evil as David. And what you will have is a Dixie, Adam, JR thing going on. They should just do as Tad says and Take David into court.
