Ok everyone lets give her a chance. They have obviously trimmed about 15 years off Liza's age. When approaching a recast we all need to keep in mind that this is a soap and age is ALWAYS sketchy. Take Kendall for example, if she was born when Erica was 14 she would be around 42 because Erica was a senior in high school in 1970 when the show started. Alicia Minshew is 35 not 42 nor is she portraying a woman in her 40's. Age trimming is almost as common as rapid aging. Back to Jamie Luner's Liza, I really think if we embrace her and accept that she is not Marcy Walker nor will she be, this new take on a great character could blossom into a wonderful replacement. Jamie Luner plays an awesome conniving "witch with a b". I have watched her on Melrose Place and Savannah and I believe she has potential to stir things up really well in Pine Valley.

IA. I remember the original Liza but it's really been such a long time ago that Liza's almost a new character for me. I like this Liza...she seems complicated and mysterious. I'm not quite sure what's up her sleeve but I know something is and its not good.

I like her too and agree about the age thing. She doesn't look that young. I like her with either with Zach or Tad. She has added a little spice to the role. JMO.

Well as for me I never watched Melrose's Place or Savannah, so this chick is new to me. She's okay. Marcie Walker was a great "Liza" It would have been great to see her again after so many years!. But I think I've read long ago she is no longer acting, I'm not sure if she relocated to another Country with her husband. Maybe the writers didn't offer her another money! to come back. But I'll tell ya this I'm sure happy glad to have Jessie and Angie Back!! Darnell and Debbie keep on the good work!!!!

Age trimming is one thing, and it would be easier to dismiss *IF* Liza wasn't supposed to have gone to high school with Tad, Angie and Jesse. There's too much history there to be messing with her age.

Jamie Luner may be the awesome, but this was a bad recast. She just isn't Liza. They should have brought her on as someone else.

Hey Shep!

Same thing I said! I mentioned the whole new Liza/age thing and someone blew a fuse, acting as if I had insulted a personal friend of theirs.

You're right. The CHARACTER, Liza is around the same age as Tad, Jesse and Angie, and for them to now have her around the same age as Kendall, Annie, etc. is ridiculous.

They should have also brought her back as a blonde. I think the whole red-head hard a@@ attitude just isn't working for alot of "older fans"..I included!

she does seem about the age of Tad, Jessie etc. someone commented about them trimming her age.

she's not going anywhere, but I don't really care for her as Liza....

They need to do something w/her eyebrows too!
