BIOGRAPHY

Yaya DaCosta was born and raised in Harlem, New York. She studied International Relations and African Studies at Brown University and can speak Spanish, Portugese and French!

Yaya was the first runner up during the third cycle of the reality television hit America's Next Top Model and has platformed her role on the show into a successful acting career. She has appeared in television shows such as "Eve", "Racing for Time" and the film "Take the Lead" before landing the role of Cassandra Foster on AMC! She has also appeared in several commercials and music videos.

Yaya says she is currently teaching herself to speak Swahili!
