BIOGRAPHY

Originally from Bedford, New York, Melissa Claire Egan grew up singing and dancing in musical theatre. She signed with the Ford Modeling Agency as a child before heading to the University of North Carolina At Chapel Hill. Miss Egan graduated with a BA in Dramatic Arts.

While still in school, Miss Egan in plays such as Marvin's Room, How I Learned to Drive, The Birthday Party and Pippin. She also studied Shakespeare at the British American Drama Academy at Oxford, England. Once she finished her degree, Miss Egan began acting professionally.

Miss Egan debuted on All My Children in July 2006 as runaway mom Annie McDermott. This isn't Miss Egan's first trip to Pine Valley. She made her debut on the show as an extra at the age of 12! Prior to joining the show in 2006, Miss Egan appeared on One Tree Hill and Dawson's Creek as well as the indie film, Wrestling.
